“It is extremely important to our organization to be a part of the autism community and provide services that meet the needs of those with a diagnosis of autism, as well as those within their lives. The Allies for Autism Foundation works as a catalyst in making this possible by providing opportunities to collaborate and network with other organizations and provide funding to enhance current projects and develop new initiatives. Allies has invested in our organization and made a tremendous difference in what services we have been able to provide over the years. I urge everyone who is involved within the autism community, either as a family or as an organization providing services, to come out and experience the annual Family Walk /Run. It is one of the only events in Calgary that brings together the autism community in a family friendly atmosphere of entertainment and education. “

"Renfrew Educational Services is grateful for the financial support that we have received over the past several years from the Allies for Autism Foundation. This support, totaling over $46,000, has enabled Renfrew to purchase library books and materials, Snoezelen equipment (highly specialized equipment for sensory stimulation), assistive communication devices, and materials such as social stories and Sensory Satchel. Equipment and materials of this type are essential to our specialized programs for children with complex challenges; they are expensive, however, and we rely on generous contributors such as Allies For Autism to assist us in making them available to the children and families we serve."

"Allies for Autism Foundation has helped Providence, a preschool for children with disabilities, in a variety of ways, always supporting the children that attend Providence with autism as well as the children with other disabilities. We thank Allies for Autism for funding voice output devices, sensory equipment, assistive technology, workshops and playground equipment. We could not have the success rates we do without Allies for Autism."

"The funding that the Ability Society received from Allies for Autism was instrumental in getting our sensory room project off the ground. With the funding we recieved, we were able to purchase a bubble tube, fibre optic lights, star projector, soft seating, and other equipment that formed the foundation of our sensory room. It is truly amazing to see the children's faces light up when they play with the bubble tube or to see them stare in amazement at the galaxy that is formed on the
ceiling by the star projector. We are extremely grateful to Allies for Autism for making this possible!" Katie-Ann Berry - Ability Society |
New Heights School & Learning Services provides specialized services and early intervention for 2 ½ -6 yr old children on the Autism spectrum, and school programs for those 6 to 20 years of age. Developing student’s self-regulation is a high priority for us. Emotional Regulation is crucial in order for our students to cope with everyday stresses and to be available for learning and interacting. Our older students still require materials and equipment to facilitate emotional regulation, but they need larger and more age appropriate means to do so. Through the generosity of The Allies for Autism Foundation, our school has been able to purchase a variety of materials and equipment ranging from consumable items to large equipment. These supplies go a long way to help our students grow in their self regulation and motor skills, as well as in increasing their awareness and self esteem. Students are more motivated to participate, which in turn leads to more successful learning, inclusion and acceptance in social, community and recreational activities. Thank you Allies for making this possible.
