ELIGIBILITY
Your organization is eligible for an Allies for Autism Foundation grant if it meets the following criteria:
The Allies for Autism Foundation DOES NOT support the following:
- It is a registered Canadian charity.
- It is a legally incorporated Canadian entity.
- It is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency and has a current BN number.
- It resides in Calgary or significantly contributes to or supports the autism community in Calgary and area.
The Allies for Autism Foundation DOES NOT support the following:
- Individuals
- Private or public for profit organizations
- Large capital projects
- Travel or out of town conferences
- Annual funding drives
- Capital campaigns
- Deficit funding
- Sponsorship of events
- Endowments
Assessment Criteria
The Allies for Autism Foundation receives more grant requests than it will be able to fund. Unfortunately this means worthy programs and projects, by necessity, will have to be declined. The number and size of requests and the amount of money available to be given out every year will affect the number of grants awarded.

- Preference is given to Calgary and area agencies
- Impact (how many individuals with autism will be touched by the project)
- Preference will be given to projects that demonstrate a cost sharing component by the applicant.
- Consideration is given to agencies that participate in our resource fair and fund raising events.
